Notify Givers Of Their Statements

The fourth tab of your Statements Panel is the Notify Givers Tab. While you can explore this tab anytime of the year, this is going to be most important at the beginning of a new year, when you're able to issue annual giving statements to your Givers.

Let's take a look at all the options this tab offers.

Email message

When it comes time to issue your giving statements, you'll be able to send an email to your Givers, notifying them that their giving statements are now available. This email won't have their statement attached to it; it's simply a communication message letting them know their statement has been issued.

How Givers will receive their statements is up to you, whether they can access it via their personal Giver Account, or if you will print them out and either mail them or have your Givers pick them up in person. Your email to your Givers is a great way to provide instructions on how they can access their annual giving statement.

Keep in mind...
  • If you don't want Givers to be able to access their statement in their personal Giver Account, you can toggle that option off in the Availability Tab. Click here to learn more.

Preview message

It's always good to preview what your email will look like. Below the email you've written, you can type in your email address and send a preview email to yourself. This is a good way to review what you've written, and to see what your Givers will receive in their email inbox. If you need to make any changes, simply go back to your Notify Givers tab and make those adjustments. (Don't forget to save your changes!)

Notify Givers

Here, you'll be able to control the actual sending of the notification email to your Givers. This option will become available once the current year has ended. Until then, you can craft your email message. You can choose not to send an email at all, though we recommend sending an email to provide instructions to your Givers as to how they can access their statements.

Once the option to send an email to your Givers becomes available, you can choose to send the email immediately or you can schedule it to send in the future.

Lastly, to avoid accidentally sending the mass email, you must agree that your annual giving statements are indeed ready for your Givers to access.

Can I choose not to use RebelGive's statements?

Should you choose to create your own statements, you are under no obligation to use the annual giving statements RebelGive provides. We'd still recommend sending out an email to notify your Givers how they can access their statements, but this doesn't mean you need to use our statements should you desire to provide your own version for your Givers.
