How can I make sure my logo looks right?
When designing your GivingFlow, it's important to make sure everything looks great and matches your church. (For more info on designing your GivingFlow, check out this article.) Since designing logos may not be your full time job, we wanted to share a couple tips that will hopefully help.
We recommend that your logo is in PNG format. This usually means that the background is transparent and that there isn't a white background. Check out the example recycle image below.
A JPEG image is shown on the left and a PNG on the right.
The best thing to do is to ask the person who designed your logo for a PNG version.
However since this may not always be possible, we recommend removing the background yourself if you do have a logo saved in JPEG format (as shown above with the white box). This is easier than you think! Watch this quick video to see how to select and delete a background. If you don't already have Photoshop, you can easily download a free seven-day trial here.
We recommend using a simple logo.
Before going any further, it's important to remember the purpose of your logo--it should represent you! That being said, it's helpful to have a logo that can be recognized and legible at a variety of sizes. It may be best to use a simplified version of your logo on your GivingFlow.
